Report a problem

One person builds and runs Vinculum. Bugs get fixed fast because there is nobody to route them through.

Bugs, questions and anything else

Email support@vinculum.run. It reaches the person who builds Vinculum.

Security problems

Email security@vinculum.run, and keep the details out of anywhere public until it is fixed. The security page has the full policy.

What to put in a report

Three things make a report quick to fix:

  • What you did, step by step.
  • What you expected, and what happened instead.
  • Your version.

On the web app your version is in the footer of your dashboard. If you run Vinculum yourself, it prints it:

bash
vinculum --version

If you run Vinculum yourself

Add the output of vinculum doctor. It checks your install piece by piece and names what is wrong. The --json form is easier to paste:

bash
vinculum doctor --json

Read it before you send it. If a check failed on your database address, its message can quote the start of that address, so take out any password you see.

Your data

Self-hosted, your graph lives in your own Postgres. The code is AGPL v3, so it can't be taken away. If this project stops, your graph doesn't.
